Meetings

Ladies in Tune meet every Tu/Th from 710-745 am in the Vocal Music Room.

Rocket Club meets every Wednesday after school in A10 STEAM Room.

Baseball Sign-up in the Main Office - all interested should come sign up to find out about Open Gyms.


All Softball Players should stop in the office and pick a Pasty Sale Order Form. This fundraiser is for all players not just those going to Alabama.  The sale will be Saturday, February 8th. Orders and payments are due into the Main Office by Friday, January 31st. Questions stop in the office and talk to Michele. 


Starting on Monday, Jan 6th there will be Girls Open Gym @ DES from 6 - 730pm.  Bring your GLOVES and BATS so you can swing and throw. 

Athletic Trainer Hours 

(students will have prior approval/pass from Donnie to come down during school hours)


Spring Play Announcements:

Thursday - DHS Library  from 4:30-6:00. Act 2: Scenes 1 & 2.

Contracts, conflict sheets, and handbooks are available outside the Choir room and by Mrs. Humke's classroom.  Contracts and Drama Fees are due in the DHS office (to Michele Storkson) by Friday, January 24. Conflict sheets can be handed in to Mrs. Goetzke and/or Mrs. Humke by Friday, January 24 too.  


Please check Classroom frequently for any changes to times and location for practices.  Changes are on the horizon (meeting slightly earlier and hopefully at DHS).


Student Announcements:

Video Game Club is hosting a Smash Bros tournament on Saturday, 1/25. It is $5 to play, $2 to spectate. Come to the library through B-wing. The tournament will begin at 10 AM. If you have any questions, contact Eli Jacobson (20elijac@draschools). Come join the fun!

Junior Class we are in charge of concessions on Fri. Sign up is in your class Google Classroom. 3-4 students are needed to help. Remember this money is to help with prom.

Enjoy a meal made by our exchange students this Saturday before the Girls Basketball game.  The cost is $5 and will be served in room B-5 from 2-4 pm.  Please sign up in your grade level Google classrooms by 1:30 Thursday so we know how much food to make.  Looking forward to seeing you there.

Snowball Guest Dance Forms are now available in the main office in the spinner. All guests must have a Dance Form turned in to attend. Dance Forms are to be turned in by Wednesday, Feb. 12th @ 3:30pm.   Snowball will be Saturday, February 15th, from 7 - 11pm and $7 entry.

Seniors - Stop in the main office to check the spelling of your name for diplomas - If you don’t know please check with parents on the CORRECT SPELLING OF YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME as it appears on your birth certificate. **************************************************************************************************************************

The LMC is asking for help writing letters to DHS alumni actively serving in the military. These letters are being included in our care packages that will also have a tie blanket. Everyone is welcomed to stop down before school, during lunch, or after school to write a letter.

Students interested in the Spring Trap Shooting Team are to stop in the main office to pick up the new information packet.  There will also be a Hunters Safety Class Offered on Saturday, March 21st. Details for the class are also in the information packet in the spinner on the counter.

The library will be having it's Books n' Beans coffee bar on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Fresh brewed coffee will be available before school and during passing times. $1 or $.50 if you bring your own cup.

Students may stop in the library to “Tie a Knot”.  The DHS LMC will be preparing military care packages including the tie blankets made by students for DHS Alums actively enrolled in the military. Care kits will be shipped at the end of January. Please stop by the library during passing, lunch, or advisory to help with this special service project!

IMPORTANT: HOSA students HOSA test schedule (in Library with Ms. Mumm and Mrs. Roh-Wasley) - starts at 6:30 am Thursday, January 23 - students with only one test should be done in time to attend most of their first block class.

Art club members Work day on Thurs after school. VAC students need to put in at a min of 2 days of work before competition.

YEARBOOK

Yearbook members, you have been assigned a spread in the yearbook. Please see the bulletin board outside Ms. White's room for your assignment. There is also a sign up sheet for taking photos at various school events. Please sign up for upcoming events.

 

To all club advisors, Yearbook will be sending one of its members to club meetings this month to take a club group photo. It shouldn't take long! If you would prefer to take a club group photo yourself please feel free to do so and send it to Ms. White or Ms. Perry.

Pepsi-Cola is seeking part time employees to work weekends - only Saturday and Sunday mornings.
