Extended School Closure Updates

Extended School Closure Updates

CLOSURE UPDATE: OCTOBER 2, 2020

As a school district, we have been closely monitoring the news and best practices regarding the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  After taking guidance from the Iowa County Department of Health, we have decided to pivot to an ELP-12 virtual instructional model in the Dodgeville School District for the next 2 weeks from October 5 until October 19.  This closure will take effect immediately.  There will be no school on Monday, October 5 (previously announced) and also no school on Tuesday, October 6 in order to plan/adjust for the pivot to all virtual.

The closure affects all school programming, including before and after school activities, all athletic and extracurricular practices and competitions, and all weekend events.

District teachers and staff have been preparing virtual learning plans for our students. Teachers will be providing more information soon. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s building principal. We highly encourage students and families to follow proper protocol to help reduce the spread of this virus so that we can return to school on October 19th.

If you need to reach out to the school(s) for any matters related to an extended closure, phone numbers are listed below.  If our offices are clo
