Dodgeville High School has more than 400 students in grades 9-12. DHS recently celebrated its 100th year of accreditation by AdvancED and is recognized as an Advanced Placement Pacesetter School.

Dodgeville High School offers students excellent education opportunities which allow students to go beyond meeting graduation requirements and explore individual interests in core subjects, career and technical education programs, fine arts courses, and more. In addition, DHS offers a robust co-curricular program, including more than 15 interscholastic athletics, performing arts opportunities, a variety of career, competition-based, and service-led student organizations, and leadership opportunities for students throughout the school year.

DHS staff work collaboratively to create and expand the curriculum, address behavior, and develop strong professional learning communities to meet the needs of all students. The high school has been engaged in a 1:1 program with Chromebooks since 2016, providing students with technologically-enhanced learning opportunities.

Originally built in 1963, the high school underwent significant renovations during 2017, thanks to a community supported referendum. While these updates modernized and beautified the facilities, great care was taken to remind students, staff, and visitors of the school’s proud history. A second referendum, passed in the fall of 2018, will bring an auditorium and second gymnasium to the school, with construction beginning in 2019.
